Gravimetric soil moistureGravimetric samples will provide an estimate of volumetric soil moisture content to calibrate the soil moisture measured over all fields from the hand-held moisture probes. On each flight overpass sampling day, using a bulk density core, two 0–5.6 cm gravimetric samples will be collected per field at two of the 16 soil moisture measurements points. 3 Hydra probe measurements will be taken nearby the sample core and recorded on the sampling sheet.
